The TAFER Hotels & Resorts group, led by President and CEO Enrique Torreblanca, has announced that they will expand their portfolio in Mexico by opening their first resort, TAFER Viva, in Tulum, Mexico. The TAFER Viva Resort, located on a private peninsula on the Caribbean coast of Mexico, will be the first TAFER property in Latin America, and will be TAFERs first all-suite resort.

TAFER Hotels & Resorts, a TAFER Hotel, celebrated the expansion of its resort chain in Mexico by hosting a grand opening ceremony in Cancun, in which family and friends of TAFER employees, local dignitaries, and fans of the TAFER brand participated. The resort is the newest addition to TAFER Hotels & Resorts, located in Playa del Carmen. The new resort will be an integral part of TAFER’s portfolio, as it will strengthen the company’s presence in Mexico and its Caribbean location in the Bahamas.

Over the next five years, TAFER Hotels & Resorts is positioned to become one of the largest and strongest luxury hotel groups in Mexico, inclusive of Garza Blanca Resort & Spa, a collection of TAFER’s five-star, award-winning resorts, which currently has locations in Los Cabos, Cancun and Puerta Vallarta. As part of the expansion, Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Cancun will be fully inaugurated, through the completion of a four-phase strategy, with the introduction of 451 additional suites, from Junior Suites to 3- and 4-bedroom Penthouse Residences. Upon its completion, Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Cancun’s grand opening will take place in the last quarter of 2024.
