Seabourn Ovation, the latest addition to the family of cruise ships operated by the Royal Caribbean International fleet, is set to make her inaugural voyage later this year, and Royal Caribbean has now made the first of many announcements regarding it.
Once in a while, someone new surprises the luxury travel world by announcing that they are adding a new ship to their fleet. This time, it’s the diminutive Norwegian ship, Seabourn Ovation, that will begin sailing out of Miami, Florida this fall. Seabourn offers the opportunity to travel to exotic ports on a smaller ship, and the Miami debut is the first new port that the Seabourn Ovation will make.

The Seabourn Ovation, a private yacht-style cruise ship, will arrive on American shores for the first time in November, giving cruisers from Miami a new luxury choice this autumn.
The ship will call PortMiami home until April 2024, when it embarks on a series of Caribbean Sea, Panama Canal, and Central American itineraries.
The 41,865 gross ton Ovation, which debuted in 2018, can carry up to 600 passengers and 420 crew members. This is one of the greatest crew-to-guest ratios in the business, allowing Seabourn to provide lavish, individualized service in a laid-back, country club-style atmosphere.

Since late March, when it embarked on a trip from Piraeus, Greece, the Ovation has been the first of Seabourn’s five-ship fleet to sail with guests. For the next several months, it will call that port near Athens home, providing seven-day Gems of the Greek Isles cruises.
The Ovation will launch its first-ever Caribbean program on November 18 with three 11-day roundtrip itineraries from Miami. San Juan, Guadeloupe, Jost Van Dyke, St. Kitts, and Antigua are among the destinations the ship will visit.
The ship will sail the Panama Canal and Central America from December to March, beginning with a 21-day Panama Canal voyage from Miami to Los Angeles on December 21, followed by a 19-day cruise back to Miami. Both trips will include a complete passage of the Panama Canal. On March 27, 2024, the Ovation will return to Europe with a 13-day voyage from Miami to Lisbon.

The health standards for the Miami sailings have yet to be published, however summer 2024 trips on the Seabourn Ovation and sister ship Seabourn Odyssey are limited to passengers who have had complete COVID-19 vaccinations. All crew members on these trips will be vaccinated, according to Seabourn.
Other itineraries in 2024 and beyond will have requirements determined in collaboration with locations closer to the sailing date.

Dining, Drinking, & Tips Are All Included In The Cruise Fare
For those not familiar with the product of Seabourn, Carnival Corporation’s “ultra-luxury” brand, the fare includes all meals with no supplements at any restaurants. Most alcoholic beverages are included, including specialty coffees, and gratuities are also included. Unlimited champagne and caviar is one of the line’s signature amenities.
On Ovation, 300 veranda suites provide interior space ranging from 246 to 302 square feet, as well as a veranda ranging from 68 to 83 square feet. A queen-size bed or two twin beds are available, as well as a sitting space, walk-in closet, dining table for two, cosmetics vanity, and large marble bathroom with separate tub and shower.
During Ovation’s Caribbean voyage, guests can enjoy complimentary water sports from a beach or the ship’s retractable marina platform, as well as “Caviar in the Surf,” where uniformed crew wade into the sea to serve iced Champagne and caviar from a surfboard bar; and “Marina Day,” when guests can enjoy complimentary water sports from a beach or the ship’s retractable marina platform.
