As part of its “AmaRivers” cruise collection, AmaWaterways has signed on to add a third 46-night cruising season to Hawaii’s world-renowned river system, offering guests two more weeks on the river, from Waikiki to the Big Island.

The easiest way to start your vacation is often to start it at home. But if you’re not able to make it to your vacation beaches, or if the weather is less than accommodating, then a cruise can be a perfect alternative.

The AmaWaterways site has just announced a third ship bound for the company’s 61-night itineraries on the Rhine and Danube. It looks like AmaWaterways has found a happy medium between its two river cruises. While the AmaAmour ship, launched in 2013, is smaller than the AmaForte, launched in 2014, the latest ship, the AmaYouth, is larger than both.. AmaWaterways has announced the launch of two 46-night voyages on the “Seven River Journey Through Europe” itinerary.

Based on the tremendous success of the spring and summer dates, the river line has announced the introduction of a third Seven River Journey for autumn 2024.

The autumn sailing, which will take visitors across 14 countries in 47 days, will take place amid several areas’ wine harvests and beautiful fall scenery. The trip will depart from Paris, France on August 24, 2024 and arrive in Giurgiu, Romania on October 9, 2024.

Seven River Journey – Autumn Edition takes place during the ideal time of year for guests to spend extended time in some of Europe’s most sought-after destinations, from exploring fairytale castles and storybook villages enveloped in brilliant fall colors to enjoying seasonal wines and the autumn apple harvest.”

Guests who book on the fall version of the trip will be able to experience the facilities, food, and service that AmaWaterways is renowned for.

Guests will board the AmaLyra in Paris for a Seine River cruise before changing to the AmaCerto in Amsterdam to see the sights along the Scheldt, Maas, Rhine, Main, and Moselle rivers. The trip will culminate with two weeks onboard AmaVerde, which will cruise the Danube River in its entirety.

Itinerary

The following is a summary of the itinerary:

AmaLyra in France, Days 1-6

Passengers will travel between Paris and La Havre on a peaceful Normandy countryside cruise shortly before the fall apple harvest. A full-day trip to Normandy’s Pays d’aude area will bring gastronomic pleasures ranging from apple cider to the French aperitif Pommeau, while a bike tour through the town of Les Andelys will provide stunning views of the changing seasons.

AmaCerto visits the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, France, and Switzerland on days 6-32.

As the ship travels through gorgeous nations renowned for their autumn beauty and distinct cultural experiences, a range of surprises await.

Guests may walk along historic canals and beautiful house boats while sampling Dutch specialties in the Netherlands. There are plenty of opportunities for hiking or bicycling through lovely vineyards, as well as a visit to the ancient town of Bruges.

Guests will be treated to a crémant tasting in the French hamlet of Obernai, which has an old market square and a baroque 16th century town hall, which is exclusive to this trip.

AmaVerde visits Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Romania from days 33 to 47.

Guests will be treated to exclusive experiences and fun tours during the cruise’s final leg, including an Oktoberfest celebration with music and beer exclusively for AmaWaterways guests, a walking tour of Dürnstein’s cobblestone streets, and a visit to Hungary’s Szekszárd wine region, one of the country’s oldest red wine-growing regions.

  • Transfers between the three ships are available.
  • Laundry and portage services are provided free of charge.
