Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds are planning to return to Mexico for their annual “Destination Event” for a fifth time, and this year the duo will be doing it all over again at the all-inclusive resort, Club Cantamar. This family-friendly weekend will include a day of food, music, and fun, with performances by Matthews and band members Dave and Tim Reynolds, along with Dave’s sons, drummer Brad and bassist Devin.
Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds, along with a handful of other special guests, will hit the sand in Cancun for the fifth annual Destination Event, an intimate, all-inclusive vacation to Mexico. This year, the celeb-packed Fins Dive Bar & Grill Select begins on March 28th, and will take place over seven days, with The Roots, John Mayer, Wale, Matt and Kim, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and George Porter Jr. on board.
The Dave Matthews Band (DMB) and Tim Reynolds are getting ready to kick off the fifth annual Destination Cancun in early January. The event will go down in Mexico City for the band’s first-ever performance outside of North America. DMB will headline the first night while Reynolds will perform on the second.
Entertainment companies CID Presents and On Location have just announced the planned return of the fifth annual Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds: Riviera Maya, which lasted from the 18th to the 20th century. February 2024 will be held on the coveted sandy beach of Cancun, Mexico.The multi-day concert will once again take place at the stunning AAA Four Diamond Award-winning Moon Palace Cancun, which offers guests luxurious accommodations just steps from CID Presents’ state-of-the-art beachfront concert venue. In 2024, the venue will move to the Sunrise section of the resort, allowing guests to book new room types with stunning views of the stage and surrounding area.

Guests of this event can enjoy not only nightly concerts on the beach, but also daytime parties by the pool and entertainment at the resort. They are also encouraged to enrich their weekend by exploring the incredible natural landscape and heritage of the Yucatan Peninsula. Numerous off-site programs offer visitors the opportunity to visit, for example, the ruins of the Mayan capital of Chichen Itza and its famous pyramid temples, bathe in the cool waters of one of the many cenotes (natural underground pools) or take a luxury catamaran cruise to the island of Isla Mujeres.
Sales of all-in weekend packages will begin at 1 p.m. on June 18. 20, 2024. ET. However, some pre-sale packages will be available exclusively to members of the DMB Warehouse Fans Association starting at 1pm on June 15. ET and previous attendees of the Dave & Tim Riviera Maya event can take advantage of a special pre-sale beginning June 17 at 1 p.m. ET.
As next year’s COVID-19 situation remains unpredictable, CID Presents and On Location will stay abreast of health and safety best practices by following relevant guidelines and recommendations from local authorities, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization, and adjust their own protocols accordingly to ensure the safest experience for all guests.

The event is also part of CID Presents’ commitment to all-round greening, in partnership with the Moon Palace, which is itself recognised as a low-carbon tourism provider. The concert venue and auditorium will be free of single-use plastic products, and all waste disposed of during the event and at the venue will be sorted and not go into the landfill.
