St. Kitts and Nevis has lowered the requirements for visitors to enter the country, allowing them to be vaccinated against yellow fever before arriving in the Caribbean nation. The change is meant to encourage tourism and improve public health at a time when many countries are tightening their borders due to increased travel restrictions imposed by the US government.

The St. Kitts & Nevis Reduces Travel Requirements for Vaccinated Foreign Visitors is a news article about the government of St. Kitts & Nevis reducing travel requirements for foreign visitors who are vaccinated. Read more in detail here: st kitts people.

The ‘Vacation in Place’ quarantine requirement for fully vaccinated foreign visitors in St. Kitts and Nevis has been lowered from four days to 24 hours, starting immediately.

Only fully vaccinated foreign visitors have been allowed into the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis since May 29. The rule does not apply to children under the age of 18 who are accompanied by their vaccinated parents or guardians. The previously stated travel restrictions for non-vaccinated passengers are now deemed null and invalid.

At least 14 days must have passed after the passenger got his or her last dosage of an authorized vaccination regimen from Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, Oxford/AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, or Sinovac to be deemed completely vaccinated. It is now acceptable to mix authorized vaccinations.

All other existing international travel requirements for St. Kitts and Nevis remain in place, including the requirement that foreign visitors submit negative results from a COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of travel, complete an embarkation form, and provide all other supporting documentation no later than 24 hours before departure.

Foreign tourists must submit their immunization certificates as well as evidence of a reservation at a ‘Travel Approved’ hotel. Travelers get a permission letter to enter the Federation once their applications have been examined and confirmed.

International tourists will be PCR tested again (at their own expense) within 24 hours after arriving in the dual-island Caribbean location, and will spend at least their first full day (rather than the previous four days) at their pre-booked ‘Travel Approved’ Tourist Accommodation. Travelers will be able to completely integrate into the Federation and roam freely throughout the islands after receiving negative test results.

Foreign tourists who have been fully vaccinated are also need to undergo an exit PCR test at their own cost at the end of their stay on the islands.

Four Seasons, Golden Rock Inn, Marriott Beach Club, Montpelier Plantation & Beach, Paradise Beach, Park Hyatt, and Royal St. Kitts Hotel are the current ‘Travel Approved’ hotels for foreign visitors. Those who want to remain in a private rental house or condo must choose one that has been certified as quarantine housing. Requests to stay at such establishments should be sent to [email protected].
