Norwegian Gem sets sail and becomes the third ship in the fleet to begin operations, marking a significant step forward for Norwegian Cruise Line and its U.S. operations. The ship is leaving with passengers aboard for a seven-night Caribbean trip that includes stops in Roatan, Honduras, the cruise line’s own island of Harvest Caye in Belize, and Mexico’s Costa Maya and Cozumel. On August 22, the NCL ship will return to Miami to finish her maiden trip back.

Through October 17, 2024, Norwegian Gem will offer a series of week-long excursions to the Caribbean and four-day trips to the Bahamas. The ship will then conduct 11-night excursions to the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Bermuda from New York.

The Norwegian cruise ship is the first in the fleet to commence passenger operations from the cruise line’s new PortMiami Terminal, making the day even more memorable. The new facility can accommodate boats carrying up to 5,000 passengers and is 188,000 square feet in size, giving the port a fresh new appearance.
