Whilst many would agree that a cruise can be a relaxing way to travel, it is also a relatively expensive way to do it. A cruise ship is a huge vessel that can take a lot of passengers, so the food and beverages on board must be of the highest quality to ensure that every passenger will enjoy their trip. This is why many cruise lines have started to focus on their food and beverage services.
The hottest new trend in cruising is back: cruising around the UK. Royal Caribbean is re-starting cruises around Britain, with the brand new 5-Star Royal Caribbean Sovereign of the Seas, the first ship to begin cruises in the UK since the launch of the mighty Harmony of the Seas on its inaugural voyage in December 2017.
The first ships of the new year will resume cruising after a week-long break. The first Royal Caribbean cruise ship to resume cruising since the winter festival season begins will be the Oasis of the Seas, which will offer a unique experience of exploring the seven seas during its two week cruise starting January 7th.. The Anthem of the Seas is the first Royal Caribbean cruise ship to return to the United Kingdom in over a year. The Quantum-class ship left Southampton today to begin the cruise line’s operations in the United Kingdom, after the company’s recent relaunch in the United States.
On June 29, the ship landed in Southampton for the first time in preparation for restarting operations.
Cruises on the Anthem of the Seas have resumed.
Royal Caribbean vacations on board Anthem of the Seas are now available to UK passengers, as the ship has finally set sail on its maiden trip back. The ship is offering four-night ocean vacations as well as five- to eight-night British Isles cruises, which include stops in Liverpool, Northern Ireland, and Kirkwall, Scotland.
As previously reported by Cruise Hive, the ship is carrying a total of 999 special employees on several sailings from the United Kingdom. Emergency services, the NHS, the social care sector, and the military forces are among the employees.

Royal Caribbean’s vice president of EMEA, Ben Bouldin, said:
“We’re thrilled to be sailing from the United Kingdom once again, and it’s an honor to welcome some of the country’s most important employees on board our first voyages. This moment has now arrived due to these people who have fought tirelessly to get our nation through this difficult period. I’m certain they’ll have a fantastic and well-deserved vacation onboard Anthem of the Seas, our UK favorite.”
Anthem of the Seas UK sailings are only accessible to citizens of the United Kingdom who are 18 years old and properly vaccinated. Guests who have been vaccinated must still provide a negative PCR test result obtained within three days of departure. The complete information may be found here.

Cruises are also available for children under the age of 18, but they must have a negative test result. Children under the age of two are not required to get tested. Royal Caribbean has been working hard on a fleetwide vaccination program, so all of the crew members have already been completely inoculated.
Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Ships and Protocols Update
There is much to do while visitors are on board, but procedures are in place to ensure everyone’s safety. In all interior areas, anyone aged 11 and above must wear a mask. Masks will also only be allowed to be worn outside in a busy environment.
