The cruise industry has a checkered history throughout its 200-year-old history. Now, one of the main brands in the industry, Royal Caribbean, has decided to revive one of its most popular Mediterranean cruises.

Royal Caribbean has announced that after more than six months of repairs to its damaged hull, the cruise line will resume all of its Western Mediterranean cruises in the coming weeks. The company made the announcement this morning that the repairs were complete, and that a significant amount of work was still necessary to ensure that the ship was seaworthy. The company said today that it will resume all cruises between Barcelona and Civitavecchia in Italy, starting on May 18.

Royal Caribbean has announced the resumption of its popular Western Mediterranean cruise. The 5-night cruise, which departed on November 19 and returned on November 23, 2015, will depart from Barcelona and stop at Palma de Mallorca, Marseille, Cannes, Monte Carlo, Antibes, and Cannes, among other destinations.. Harmony of the Seas has sailed from her summer homeport of Barcelona and is now officially back in service. The event also marks the return of Royal Caribbean International to Western Europe.

Passengers boarded the Oasis-class ship for the first in a series of seven-night cruises across the western Mediterranean. The ship will go to Palma de Mallorca, Spain, as well as Florence, Rome, and Naples, Italy, from August to October. Apart from Barcelona, these voyages will also include Rome as a homeport.

Harmony is a very popular ship and one of the most innovative in our fleet, so families can expect a fun summer.”

The Ultimate Abyss, a 10-story slide, a zip line, FlowRider surfing simulators, over 20,000 actual plants in the Central Park neighborhood, the AquaTheater, four pools and ten hot tubs, rock climbing walls, and a water park are among the highlights of Harmony of the Seas.

The ship also has a variety of restaurants, including the Alice-themed Wonderland restaurant, Jamie’s Italian, Izumi Japanese cuisine, Sabor Modern Mexican, Chops Grille steakhouse, Johnny Rockets, Park Café, and the Solarium Bistro.

Boleros, a Latin lounge, Schooner Bar, the Rising Tide Bar, which moves up and down, the robot-tended Bionic Bar, Vintages wine bar, and the English Pub are among the bars and lounges.

This year, Harmony of the Seas joins Jewel and Anthem of the Seas in offering European vacations. Anthem of the Seas is presently running five to seven-night British Isles trips roundtrip from Southampton, while Jewel of the Seas is also providing seven-night Greek Isles sailings from Cyprus.
