This week, we’re excited to see what awaits us aboard Mardi Gras. Carnival’s first of three mega-ships has gotten a lot of attention, and her first voyage is quickly approaching.

Let’s face it, a countdown to Mardi Gras wouldn’t be complete without a peek at what the ship’s bars and lounges have in store. The enormous and awe-inspiring new three-deck Atrium, The Punchliner Comedy Club, and Piano bar 88 in Central Park is located in New York City., the all-new Fortune Teller bar in the The French Quarter is a neighborhood in New Orleans,, and the two-story Red Frog Tiki and Alchemy Bars, two all-time favorites for Carnival visitors, are just a few of the highlights.

Grand Central

When Carnival Cruise Line began the planning process for Mardi Gras, they got one thing right right away: separating the ship into several zones. The Grand Central zone is one of them, with the massive Atrium lobby serving as the ship’s primary focal point, not just for Grand Central but for the whole ship.

During the day, the area will be a place for visitors to relax and have a cup of coffee or other beverages; at night, the whole area will transform into the ideal setting for a night out. Grand Central is one of the largest entertainment venues at sea, with decks 6-7 and 8 dedicated to it.

The Punchliner Comedy Club, Piano Bar 88, Mardi Gras Theatre, and the Center Stage Bar are all located on Deck 6 onward. Javablue Cafe and Cherry on Top are located near the Atrium, while the aft section leads to the French Quarter.

The casino, which stretches from the Atrium to the Mardi Gras theatre on Deck 7 of Grand Central, is the place to be for people who want to gamble. The renowned Alchemy Bar and the Limelight Lounge are located on the ship’s aft deck. On deck eight, we arrive at Havana Bar, an authentic Cuban café with live music in the nights that turns into a Latin disco after midnight.

Carnival’s Mardi Gras Cruise Ship – Everything You Need to Know is Worth Reading

Grand Central will, in our opinion, become one of the most popular places aboard Mardi Gras. There are so many entertainment places, clubs, and lounges in this neighborhood that getting the most out of it will take many days. But wait, there’s more! The French Quarter is up next.

French Quarter

The French Quarter, although not as large as Grand Central, is definitely worth seeing. One bar that suits this well is Fortune Teller, a new idea for Carnival that Carnival describes as “a place where everything is simply conceivable.” Think cocktails like the all-black New Moon, the Abracadabra that changes color before your eyes, and the Golden Galaxy… a drink created with actual gold.

Of course, Carnival wouldn’t be complete without a Jazz bar in the French Quarter. Go to the Brass Magnolia for that. With drinks like the Hurricane and the Sazerac, live music from a Jazz Trio, and New Orleans-inspired décor, this bar will be something unique.

La Piazza

The Bar Della Rosa is located in Mardi Gras’ La Piazza Italian-inspired zone. This pub is both indoors and outdoors, with comfortable lounge couches and beautiful seaside views. Classic Italian drinks such as Aperol Spritz, Italian wines from various areas of the nation, Italian beers, as well as espresso and cappuccinos prepared with Lavazza coffee, are available to guests.

Summer Landing, Lido & Open Decks

While many people who like a night out will visit Grand Central and the French Quarter, this does not imply that Carnival has forgotten about the remainder of Mardi Gras. The cruise company has managed to pack entertainment into every nook and cranny of the ship.

We find Guy Fieri’s newest BBQ restaurant and bar on summer landing: Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse | Brewhouse. Besides some awesome BBQ from the special smokers, the bar will be serving up homebrewed, yes that means made onboard Mardi Gras, Parched Pig craft brews including a smoked porter, a farmhouse ale, a hoppy IPA, and a toasted amber ale all brewed a few feet from your table.

What a delicious beer! In addition, there is the Heroes Tribute Lounge, which is Carnival’s way of recognizing soldiers aboard.

The Tides Pool Bar is located on the Lido Deck, deck 16, on the ship’s aft end, while the Red Frog Tiki Bar is located on the ship’s front end. Carnival’s classic poolside bar gets a fresh twist with two levels of South Pacific-themed drinks set against a vividly colored island-inspired décor.
