The first in a series of expedition cruises to Cape Verde and the Bissagos Islands, Hurtigruten’s first-ever African voyage will leave on November 27, 2023. The sailings will take place over four days in the 88-island archipelago, which is home to hippos, dolphins, crocodiles, sea turtles, manatees, and 500 different kinds of birds.
The 10 rocky volcanic islands that make up Cape Verde’s nation will provide a variety of landscapes. Visitors will love visiting colonial churches, palaces, and ancient forts across the archipelago, which has a unique mix of African and Portuguese influences.
